The 'See also' / 'Nothing found' screen

The See also and Nothing found screens show the results which would have been obtained for search terms related to the submitted search terms.

• The Nothing found screen is displayed automatically if no hits are returned from a search.
• The See also page is accessed by selecting the See also tab from search results.

At the top of the page is a search box where you can enter a new search.

Underneath this is a note of the search term(s) entered and the precision setting applied for the search.

The pages contain two tables: Search Results and See Also, which contain suggestions for further searches.

• The Search results table will show how many records would be returned if the search had been performed using the next loosest precision setting. If the original search contained more than one term, each term will be listed separately to show the number of records which would be returned on searching for that term.
• The See Also table contains terms from the thesaurus broader, narrower or related to the search terms(s) entered.

Next to the proposed searches will be the number of records which would be returned if these searches had been run. The search terms which return non-zero results will be hyperlinks: clicking them will perform the search.
